Osimhen On Target As Galatasaray Thrash Fenerbahçe 3–0 In Derby Clash

Victor Osimhen was on the scoresheet as Galatasaray secured a commanding 3–0 victory over rivals Fenerbahçe in a heated derby encounter on Sunday.

The Nigerian forward opened the scoring in the 40th minute, giving Galatasaray a deserved lead after a tense first half.

Fenerbahçe had earlier missed a golden opportunity to go ahead when Anderson Talisca failed to convert a penalty in the 13th minute, a moment that proved costly as the game unfolded.

Galatasaray extended their advantage in the 67th minute through Barış Alper Yılmaz, who finished off a well-worked move to put the home side firmly in control.

The match was further complicated for Fenerbahçe when their goalkeeper was sent off following a prolonged argument with the referee, leaving the visitors a man down.

Lucas Torreira sealed the emphatic win in the 83rd minute, adding a third goal to cap a dominant performance by Galatasaray.

The result strengthens Galatasaray’s position in the title race, while Fenerbahçe are left to reflect on missed chances and disciplinary lapses in a derby that slipped out of their grasp.
