Canadian rapper Drake has stirred massive global attention after releasing three full albums at the same time, setting new streaming records and triggering widespread reactions across social media, including engagement from the White House account.
On May 15, 2026, Drake released Iceman alongside two surprise companion projects titled Habibti and Maid of Honour.
The rollout delivered 43 tracks in total, with a combined runtime of nearly two and a half hours. The project also features collaborations with Future, 21 Savage, and Sexyy Red.
According to a post from Spotify’s official X account, Spotify confirmed that Drake became the most-streamed artist in a single day in 2026.
The Iceman album also set a record as the most-streamed album in a single day this year, while its lead track “Make Them Cry” emerged as the most-streamed song.
Streaming data indicates that Iceman alone recorded about 140 million streams on its first full day, placing it among the biggest album debuts of the year on the platform.
The surprise release quickly dominated online conversations, with the official account of the White House drawing viral attention after posting the Iceman album cover alongside the caption “ICED OUT.”
The post generated widespread engagement across platforms, while sports accounts, including those linked to the New York Giants, also joined in amplifying reactions.

Fans and analysts flooded social media with memes, statistics, and performance breakdowns, with some noting that the surge in activity briefly strained streaming services due to high demand.
Adding to the online buzz, Pop Base reported on X on May 16, 2026, that Drake appeared in an Instagram story holding an autographed Michael Jackson glove, further intensifying comparisons between Drake and late pop icon Michael Jackson.
Drake has also recently surpassed Michael Jackson in chart longevity records, becoming the artist with the most albums each spending more than a decade on the Billboard 200.
His projects Take Care (2011), Nothing Was the Same (2013), and Views (2016) have all exceeded 520 weeks on the chart, a milestone unmatched by any other artist with three albums.
Following the release, all three new projects quickly climbed to the top of major streaming platforms such as Apple Music and iTunes in the United States, positioning Drake for another major Billboard 200 debut.
The rollout further reinforces Drake’s dominance in the streaming era, with his influence continuing to extend beyond music into broader cultural and digital conversations.
