Tinubu Vows To Crush Terrorists, Bandits In Eid-El-Kabir Message

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration remains committed to defeating terrorists, bandits, and other criminal groups threatening peace and stability across the country.

The President gave the assurance in his 2026 Eid-el-Kabir message issued on Tuesday, where he also warned criminal elements to abandon violence and unlawful activities or face the full weight of the law.

Tinubu stated that communities affected by insecurity had not been abandoned by the Federal Government, promising sustained efforts to restore peace and strengthen national security.

“I am aware that, despite the best efforts of our security and intelligence agencies, terrorists and bandits still attack some communities.

I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” the President said.

In the 15-paragraph Sallah message, Tinubu extended felicitations to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, describing the celebration as a reminder of faith, sacrifice, obedience, and devotion exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

“I extend warm felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria and worldwide as they celebrate the glorious Eid-el-Kabir, the Festival of Sacrifice,” he said.

The President acknowledged the difficulties associated with ongoing economic reforms but insisted that the policies were necessary to reposition the country for long-term prosperity and national development.

“As a nation, we are on a journey of reconstruction and renewal. The reforms we have undertaken are challenging but necessary to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for future generations,” Tinubu stated.

He expressed optimism that the reforms introduced by his administration would continue to improve security, create opportunities, and strengthen economic growth across the country.

“I am confident that, by the Grace of God, the reforms we have pursued will continue to yield improved security and greater opportunities for all,” he added.

Tinubu further pledged that his government would continue investing heavily in critical sectors including security, infrastructure, agriculture, and human capital development to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.

The President also urged citizens to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration as an opportunity to pray for national peace and unity while extending support to vulnerable and less privileged members of society.

Meanwhile, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, also called on Nigerians to continue praying for peace, stability, and prosperity in the country.

In her Sallah message, she encouraged Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence, unity, and compassion during the festive period.

The First Lady further urged citizens to remember vulnerable persons through acts of kindness, generosity, and support as Muslims celebrate the festival of sacrifice.
