Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in Lagos as part of activities marking the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Sanwo-Olu disclosed the visit in a post on his official X account, noting that it provided an opportunity to strengthen ties between the state government and the Federal Government.
According to the governor:
“Together with the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, we visited His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our First Lady, HE Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as part of the Eid el Kabir celebrations. ,” the governor wrote.
He further described the meeting as a welcome moment to host the President in Lagos, while also reaffirming his administration’s collaboration with the Federal Government in the interest of national development and citizens’ welfare.

“It is always a pleasure to have the President back home to Lagos, and an opportunity to reaffirm the working relationship between Lagos State and the Federal Government as we remain committed to national progress and the wellbeing of our people,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
President Tinubu is currently in Lagos for the Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
Eid-el-Kabir, also known as Eid al-Adha, is a major Islamic festival observed in commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion and willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command.
