Super Falcons Edge Senegal 2–1 In First Leg Of International Friendly

Nigeria’s women’s national football team secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Senegal on Friday in the first leg of their international friendly double-header.

The Super Falcons started strongly, with Asisat Oshoala finding the back of the net to give Nigeria the lead.

Beyond her goal, Oshoala also delivered a heartfelt message after scoring, stating: “Save the teachers. Bring back our children.”

Nigeria doubled their advantage through Payne, who finished clinically after a brilliant assist from Shukurat Oladipo, showcasing strong attacking chemistry in the final third.

Senegal managed to pull one back, but the Super Falcons held firm to see out the result and claim victory in the opening fixture.

The result gives the Super Falcons an early advantage in the double-header, with another encounter expected as both sides continue their preparation.
