The Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has disclosed that the Osun State Commissioner of Police informed him that suspected criminals were allegedly hiding inside the Osun State Government House.
Disu made the revelation on Friday, July 3, during a visit to the Government House, where he met with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke amid the disagreement between the governor and the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan.
Addressing the governor, the police chief acknowledged Adeleke’s concerns about the commissioner but said he had also received a briefing from the police commissioner.
“I’ve heard complaints from Osun State, and I’m aware you’re not happy with the Commissioner of Police, but too has briefed me.

“The Commissioner said suspected criminals that he is looking for, are hibernating (hiding) in the Osun State Government House.
“If that is true, why should suspect be in a government house? I told him that as a police officer in charge, there should be a way he goes about it”.
Disu also said the commissioner alleged that some political parties were providing protection for criminal elements ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
