Natasha Installs Free Campus-Wide Wi-Fi At FCE Okene

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has facilitated the installation of a free campus-wide Wi-Fi network at the Federal College of Education, Okene to improve digital access and enhance learning for students.

The project, unveiled on Sunday, is expected to provide students and lecturers with reliable internet connectivity to support teaching, research, innovation and academic collaboration.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja by the senator’s media aide, Mike Idoko.

According to Akpoti-Uduaghan, the initiative reflects her commitment to expanding educational opportunities and equipping young people with the digital tools needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

She noted that internet access has become an essential requirement for education, research, innovation and economic empowerment, stressing that students should have access to the same digital resources available to their counterparts across the globe.

The lawmaker explained that the free Wi-Fi facility would eliminate barriers to knowledge, encourage innovation, promote academic excellence and expose students to opportunities in artificial intelligence, software development, online certification, entrepreneurship and remote employment.

She pledged to continue implementing projects that improve the lives of her constituents and contribute to the development of Kogi Central.
