Suspected Fulani bandits have killed three residents in a fresh attack on Tanjol community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to reports gathered by First Daily correspondent, the attack occurred on Wednesday morning when troops of Sector 6, Operation Safe Haven, responded to a distress call from the community.
It was revealed that by the time the troops arrived, the assailants had fled the scene.
The troops discovered the bodies of three victims identified as Victor Danjuma, 38; Dachun Danjuma, 50; and Nyam Danjuma, 27, all of whom had been killed during the attack.

The bodies were recovered and handed over to members of the community for burial in accordance with local customs.
Military sources said troops have since commenced offensive operations and are combing the surrounding areas in search of the fleeing suspects.
