The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly referred to as diesel, in a move aimed at easing energy costs for consumers and businesses.
Under the revised pricing structure, the ex-depot price of petrol has been reduced by N50, from N1,215 per litre to N1,165 per litre, while diesel now sells at N1,570 per litre, down from N1,650 per litre, representing a N80 reduction.
The refinery disclosed the price adjustment in a statement issued on Wednesday, describing the move as part of its commitment to making refined petroleum products more affordable and accessible across Nigeria.
According to the company, the latest review is expected to support economic activities by lowering energy costs while improving access to quality petroleum products.
The refinery said it remains focused on ensuring a stable supply of fuel nationwide, adding that operational efficiencies achieved at the facility would continue to translate into benefits for consumers whenever market conditions allow.

It noted that the decision reflects its dedication to delivering affordable, high-quality petroleum products to the Nigerian market while creating value for businesses, motorists and other stakeholders.
The company also reaffirmed its strategic role in strengthening Nigeria’s energy security by reducing dependence on imported petroleum products and supporting the country’s economic growth through local refining.
Dangote Refinery added that it would continue to leverage its operational capacity to improve efficiency and pass on the gains to consumers through competitive pricing whenever possible.
