Kano Hisbah Arrests TikToker Over Videos With Women

The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 27-year-old TikTok creator Ukasha Yahaya, popularly known as UK International, over videos featuring him with women.

The board’s Deputy Commander General, Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed the arrest on Thursday, September 17, 2026, saying Ukasha was apprehended after intelligence indicated that he had entered Kano.

Aminuddeen said the TikToker remained in custody pending the conclusion of investigations, after which he would be taken to court.

Ukasha, a native of Gusau, Zamfara State, and resident in Abuja, reportedly told investigators that he could not remember how many videos he had produced with women.

The videos include scenes of him dancing with, embracing and carrying women, as well as swimming and bathing with them. He said some had attracted between one million and three million views.

According to the TikToker, the women approached him because of his work as a content creator. He also said his mother and others had repeatedly warned him about the content and that he was considering quitting such videos as he prepares for marriage.

Ukasha apologised and promised not to repeat the conduct.

His UK INTERNATIONAL account had more than 262,000 followers, followed 26 accounts and accumulated about 2.4 million likes as of Thursday.

The arrest follows other Hisbah interventions involving TikTok creators. In August 2026, the board detained TikToker Namadina Tudunwada over a viral video officials said promoted premarital sex. In February 2024, it arrested TikTok personality Ramlat Princess over content it alleged promoted lesbianism.

Aminuddeen warned youths against using TikTok to circulate content the board considers contrary to religious and moral standards.

Ukasha remains in custody as investigations continue.
