Popular Nollywood comic actor Olatayo Amokade, fondly called Ijebu, has publicly intervened in the highly-publicized family dispute involving Big Brother Naija season 10 winner, Imisi, and her mother.
The actor posted a video on his Instagram page late Sunday, urgently calling on Imisi to cease the ongoing “social media fight” with her mother and to seek her forgiveness.
The conflict between the reality TV star and her mother erupted into a public spectacle following Imisi’s monumental win of the N150 million BBNaija prize money. The strained relationship first came to light during the show, where Imisi made traumatic revelations about her past.
She shared harrowing details about her childhood, including that she had an abortion at age 13 after being raped twice at age 12. Imisi also recounted her early struggles, telling a fellow contestant, Kola: “My dad sent me out of the house when I was just 11 years. I started selling fufu with my grandma before her place got burnt. Then things got really difficult for me.”
Weeks after her win, the conflict escalated when Imisi’s mother released a viral video alleging that her daughter had abandoned her. Imisi quickly responded, pointing to their long-strained relationship and her mother’s absence during her struggles.
Questioning the sudden timing of her mother’s complaint, Imisi stated: “Before I won BBNaija, I was living my life and you would not even call me in one or two years, so why is there a problem now?”
She staunchly defended her efforts to provide, despite the friction: “God knows I tried. I still sent money to you last week and four days ago. Will I kill myself? You cannot remove N1 out of the money I won for anybody’s comfort. I have 100 people in the family looking up to me alone,” she posted on Instagram.

Reacting to the intense “online dragging,” actor Ijebu’s video aimed to put an end to the public feud.
He strongly urged Imisi to end the conflict and noted that her mother is her “mini god.”
Ijebu delivered a direct and emotional appeal: “Imisi, I know you are a good girl. The Bible said we should honour our parents. This evening or tomorrow morning, I want you to visit your mother, go on your knees, hold her legs, and tell her you are sorry. Let her pray for you. No matter what she might have done to you, she is still your mini god on earth. After this, I don’t want to hear any dragging again online. If I hear anything again, I will be so mad at you.”
