Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has credited the successes of his administration to divine guidance and the prayers of traditional worshippers.
The governor made the remarks on Tuesday during a special Isese prayer session held by indigenous faith practitioners across the state to mark the New Year 2026, according to a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
Adeleke expressed delight at participating in the ceremony, apologizing for his absence at previous sessions, while affirming his administration’s respect for all faiths and support for indigenous traditions.
“The governor attributed the successes recorded by his administration across critical sectors to divine guidance and inter-faith prayers. Osun State would overcome its challenges through unity and the power of Olodumare,” the statement quoted him as saying.
He urged traditional worshippers to continue praying for leaders and the success of the government, assuring them of the administration’s support. He also revealed that the Commissioner for Home Affairs and his Special Adviser on Traditional Matters had been directed to engage the Isese community on areas of need.
