Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, has announced that the Adiyan Water Works Phase II Project is making remarkable progress, with 98 percent of the pipe-laying already completed.
Wahab disclosed this update via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday.
While acknowledging that some contingencies are being addressed to smoothen the process, Wahab assured residents that the project is advancing strictly in line with its timeline and is being executed with maximum efficiency.
The project, a 320,000 cubic metre-per-day water treatment plant, is designed to deliver over 70 million gallons of potable water daily to homes across the Lagos metropolis once fully completed.

Wahab emphasized that the development reaffirms the commitment of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration to restoring pipe-borne water supply to Lagos households, in line with the THEMES+ Agenda.
“This milestone will soon ensure that houses across Lagos once again enjoy steady access to clean and safe water,” Wahab noted.
