Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has confirmed he is at home under medical observation following a recent car crash.
He clarified that the checks are precautionary, aimed at ensuring his health remains stable.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening along the Daura-Katsina road, where the governor’s convoy reportedly collided with a Golf vehicle.
Alongside Governor Radda in the vehicle were his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman-Nasir, and one other individual.
They were initially taken to the Federal Medical Center in Daura, then transferred to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Katsina for further treatment.
On Monday, the 21st of July, 2025, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, released a statement saying the governor appreciated the outpouring of concern and prayers from residents.

In a brief live video, Radda personally addressed the public, saying: “Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Dear brothers and sisters of Katsina State and beyond, we are deeply grateful for all your prayers and concerns.
“By the will of Allah, we were tested with a car accident, but Alhamdulillah, we came out safe and unharmed.”
He added that his current health checks were routine and emphasized that he was fine.
“I’m pleased to confirm that I remain in good health and high spirits. Once again, thank you for your heartfelt prayers,” he said.
