APC Denounces False Social Media Timetable for Party Congresses

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed a social media post claiming to reveal the party’s schedule of activities for its upcoming congresses, calling it false and unauthorised.

The viral post, which surfaced online on Sunday, included supposed dates for ward, local government, state, and national congresses, as well as alleged nomination fees and a timeline for the party’s national convention.

In a statement released on Sunday, October 26, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, urged members and the public to ignore the post, describing it as fabricated information.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to ‘APC 2025 SCHEDULE OF NATIONWIDE CONGRESSES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES’ widely in circulation on social media,” the statement read.

“Our great party wishes to clarify that the purported Schedule of Activities for Congresses was neither made nor authorised by the Party, and should be disregarded as FAKE NEWS,” Morka added.

He reaffirmed that any official communication regarding the party’s activities would be issued directly through the party’s recognised channels.

The clarification comes amid growing speculation that the ruling party may hold its national convention before the end of 2025 to restructure its leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.
