APC Halts Abia Congresses Amid Consultations

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has halted its planned ward, local government and state congresses in Abia State.

The decision was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday, the 18th of February, 2026, and endorsed by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.

In the statement, the party explained that the move followed ongoing consultations and the need to finalize key preparatory and administrative arrangements ahead of the exercises.
