Apple Releases iOS 26.1, Urge Users to Update

Apple has released iOS 26.1 for iPhone users, combining feature enhancements with critical security updates.

The update introduces a toggle for the Liquid Glass interface, allowing users to switch between the default translucent look and a higher-contrast tinted mode.

Users can disable the lock-screen camera swipe, while Apple Music gains new MiniPlayer swipe gestures and improved AirPlay AutoMix support.

Live Translation adds Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, and the Fitness app offers improved workout tracking.

iOS 26.1, which became publicly available on November 3, 2025, fixes multiple high-severity vulnerabilities affecting WebKit, the kernel, Camera, Photos, and Find My. A notable patch closes a flaw that could bypass Stolen Device Protection.
