Arsenal Reach £75m Agreement To Sign Bruno Guimarães From Newcastle

Arsenal have reached a verbal agreement to sign Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United in a deal worth £75 million.

The Gunners are now preparing for the 28-year-old to undergo his medical later this week after all parties agreed on the transfer fee.

The move is expected to be completed once the remaining formalities are concluded.

Manager Mikel Arteta has long admired Guimarães and identified him as a key addition to strengthen Arsenal’s midfield ahead of the new season.

The two parties reportedly agreed personal terms on a long-term contract in June, with the player now set to complete his switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Guimarães has been one of Newcastle’s standout performers since joining the Magpies, earning widespread praise for his composure, passing range and defensive work rate.

His arrival is expected to provide Arsenal with greater creativity, leadership and balance in midfield as the club looks to challenge for major honours.

If finalised, the transfer will rank among Arsenal’s biggest signings in recent years and represents another major statement of intent from the North London club in the summer transfer window.
