Arsenal Secure Champions League Quarter-Final Spot Despite PSV Draw

Arsenal have sealed their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after a 2-2 draw with PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night at the Emirates Stadium.

The result sees the Gunners progress with a dominant 9-3 aggregate victory, having thrashed the Dutch side 7-1 in the first leg.

The London side got off to a flying start when Oleksandr Zinchenko found the back of the net in the 6th minute to give Arsenal an early lead.

However, PSV responded quickly as Ivan Perisic equalized in the 18th minute, making it 1-1.

Declan Rice restored Arsenal’s advantage in the 37th minute with a well-placed effort, ensuring Mikel Arteta’s men went into halftime with a 2-1 lead.

But the visitors refused to go down without a fight, as Couhaib Driouech struck in the 70th minute to level the match at 2-2.

Despite the draw on the night, Arsenal‘s commanding first-leg victory ensured smooth passage to the quarter-finals.

The Gunners will now turn their focus to the next round, hoping to continue their quest for European glory.
