Bandits Attack Katsina Communities, Kill Vigilante Commander, Injure Others

Suspected bandits have attacked Bajat and Dole villages in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State killing a vigilante commander and many others injured on Tuesday.

Sources disclosed to security analyst and counter insurgency analyst, Zagazola Makama on Wednesday that the bandits stormed the area around 6pm and began shooting sporadically.

According to the report, a man known as Nura Baushe, a vigilante commander, was tragically killed in the attack.

Other victims who sustained various degrees of bullet wounds are Amadu Dole, Surajo Shehu, and Shafiu Sulaiman.

The injured victims were rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina for medical treatment.

Security personnel were immediately deployed by the statement government to restore normalcy.

All efforts by First News correspondent to reach the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, proved abortive.
