Bandits Kill Seven, Abduct Others In Sokoto Attack

At least seven residents of Kyara village, a remote border community in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State have been killed by suspected bandits.

This was made known in an X post shared by security analyst, Zagazola Makama, on Friday.

The attack, according to the report, happened in a village close to the border between Nigeria and the Niger Republic

It was gathered that the bandits, who were said to be in large numbers and armed with sophisticated weapons stormed the community, shooting sporadically and causing panic among residents.

During the attack, seven people were shot dead, while two others sustained gunshot injuries.

The post further disclosed that three villagers were also kidnapped, and an unspecified number of domestic animals were rustled.

The post added that, security operatives immediately evacuated the corpses and the injured victims to a hospital for autopsy and medical treatment.
