Two residents of the Kwatangiri community, Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State, have been killed in a fresh bandit attack.
The incident was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Friday.
According to the post, the bandits attacked the community on Thursday night.
During the attack, two residents were killed, while several houses were reportedly looted by the bandits.

“Last night, bandits stormed the Kwatangiri community in Funtua LGA, Katsina State, killing two people and looting several valuables. Residents report widespread fear and losses as security remains thin in the area
“Residents said the attackers made away with valuables, including food items and other household belongings, leaving many families traumatised,” Bakatsine wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from authorities regarding the incident.
