Suspected bandits have launched a deadly assault on a Police Mobile Force (PMF) camp in Tenebo community, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing no fewer than three officers and leaving two others injured.
The attack, which reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday, sent shockwaves through the quiet community as sustained gunfire created panic among residents.
According to a local source, the armed assailants stormed the PMF camp without warning, overpowering officers on duty before carrying out the coordinated strike.
The incident adds to growing security concerns in parts of the country, with communities increasingly vulnerable to such violent incursions.

Police authorities have acknowledged the attack. The Police Public Relations Officer, Ejide Tohun, confirmed the development, noting that further details would be made available as investigations progress.
