Gunmen struck the Chediya community in Zamfara’s Tsafe Local Government Area on Monday afternoon, leaving a trail of deaths, abductions, and destruction.
The attackers stormed the area, broke into homes, carted away livestock, and set buildings ablaze.
Residents were left terrified and displaced by the violence.
Security expert Bakatsine shared the incident on X, noting that the attack came shortly after another in nearby Kucheri community.

“This (Monday) afternoon, bandits invaded the Chediya community in Tsafe LGA, Zamfara State. They killed people, abducted many, looted houses, rustled livestock and set some houses ablaze during the invasion.
This is coming less than 24hrs after the Kucheri attack,” Bakatsine wrote.
At the time of filing this report, no official statement had been issued, and casualty figures remained unclear.
