Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has commiserated with the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, over the deaths of his son, Victor Moro, and his grandson, Abba Moro Jr.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Makurdi by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the governor described the incident as “painful and devastating,” noting that the double tragedy was a heavy blow to the family and the state.

Alia urged Senator Moro and his family to find solace in God, stating that “anyone who believes in humanity will be touched by the loss.” He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and for God’s comfort upon the bereaved family.
