The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has cautioned members of the public to beware of fraudulent online links and social media accounts circulating as the party’s official membership registration channels.
The warning was contained in a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, on Sunday, January 11.
According to the statement, the ADC said it has not introduced any public online membership registration link, and urged Nigerians to ignore all such links currently being shared.
The party explained that it is still working on an official membership registration and verification platform, which it said will be unveiled and announced through verified party channels when ready.
“ADC will never request payments or sensitive personal information through unofficial links, WhatsApp messages, direct messages, or third-party websites,” the statement read.

The ADC also advised the public on steps to avoid falling victim to scams.
“The public is advised not to click on suspicious or unverified links, not to share unconfirmed registration messages, and not to submit personal information including name, phone number, Permanent Voter Card (PVC) details, Bank Verification Number (BVN), or payment information on any unverified platform. Any suspicious links should be reported to the ADC through official party communication channels.”
“All legitimate ADC announcements, including the launch of the official membership registration platform, will only be communicated through verified ADC platforms and formal statements from the party leadership,” the statement added.
The party said it is taking steps to address the situation, protect the public and safeguard the integrity of the ADC.
