Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, met with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday evening, marking his first public interaction with the President since his retirement on October 24, 2025.
Our correspondent observed Musa arriving at the State House at 7:03 pm, dressed in dark-green traditional northern attire with elbow-length sleeves, and being escorted into the President’s office area by a senior security official.
The purpose of the meeting was not immediately disclosed. However, it comes amid rising security challenges in northern Nigeria, including the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State, an attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, and the kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna.

Security agencies have intensified counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations across the North-West and North-Central regions. Observers suggest that the meeting may touch on ongoing security concerns, though no official statement has been released.
