The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Kamilu Sa’idu Wanban Kasuwar Daji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the supplementary election for Kaura Namoda South State Constituency in Zamfara State.
The Returning Officer, Professor Lawal Sa’ad of the Federal University Gusau, announced the result, confirming that the APC candidate secured 8,182 votes to defeat his closest rival from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 5,543 votes.
He said, “Kamilu Sa’idu, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes, was duly declared winner and returned elected.”

First Daily recalls that INEC declared the Kaura Namoda South State Constituency by-election in Zamfara inconclusive.
The Returning Officer for the election, Lawal Sa’Adu, a professor at the Federal University Gusau, explained that the decision followed the cancellation of results from some polling units in Sakajiki and Kambarawa wards.
