Nigerian defender, Calvin Bassey, was on the scoresheet as Fulham edged out Manchester United on penalties to advance to the quarter-final of the FA Cup on Sunday.
Bassey opened the scoring for the visitors in added time of the first half (45+1 minute) with a powerful finish, giving Fulham a 1-0 lead at the break.

Manchester United, however, found a way back into the game in the 71st minute through Bruno Fernandes, who drilled in a low shot to restore parity.
With neither side able to find a winner after 90 minutes, the match was decided by penalty shootouts, where Fulham held their nerves to secure a famous victory at Old Trafford and advance to the next round of the competition.
Bassey’s goal marks his second of the season for Fulham as the defender continues to impress.
