The UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off draw has set up a thrilling slate of fixtures, with defending champions Real Madrid drawn against 2023 winners Manchester City in the standout tie.
The two European giants will meet for the fourth consecutive season in the knockout rounds, with Real Madrid winning their last encounter on penalties in last year’s quarter-finals.
City, who barely made it to the play-off stage after finishing 22nd in the league phase, will host the first leg before traveling to Spain for the return fixture.
In another high-profile clash, Celtic will face six-time European champions Bayern Munich, marking the Scottish club’s first knockout appearance in 12 years.
Paris Saint-Germain have been drawn against fellow French side Brest, while Juventus take on Dutch powerhouse PSV Eindhoven.
Meanwhile, two former winners of the competition, Feyenoord and AC Milan, will lock horns in another heavyweight contest.
Last season’s Europa League champions, Atalanta, will battle Club Brugge for a spot in the last 16.
Sporting Lisbon will face last year’s finalists Borussia Dortmund, and Monaco will go head-to-head with Benfica, having already lost to the Portuguese side in the league phase.
