Corruption: No sacred cow in Buhari’s govt, APC tells PDP

Ruling All Progressives Congress says nobody under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is above the law.

The APC said this in a statement on Sunday titled, “PDP on corruption: Nobody is above the law in APC’s Government,” signed by it’s National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, in Abuja.

The ruling party’s statement was in response to an earlier one titled, “Corruption in Buhari Presidency, APC, Responsible for Poverty in Nigeria – PDP…Says Treasury Looting Is APC’s Manifesto,’ issued by the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

In its response, the APC assured Nigerians that the Buhari government would not tolerate any form of corrupt practices, stressing that the administration remained committed to combating corruption.

According to the APC, “The former ruling party PDP does not have what it takes to lament about its alleged corrupt practices in the present administration of APC. It is on the record that the PDP is the founder of corruption in Nigeria, to the extent that the evil practices were made official way of life during its 16 wasteful years.

“In APC’s government, nobody is above the law. The fact that the suspended acting chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, is being investigated should send a signal to all those who think and have blackmailed the government’s anti-corruption battle.”

The party noted that the Presidency had given assurances that there was no hiding place for any corrupt government official in the current administration under the leadership of an incorruptible personality in person of President Muhammadu Buhari.

APC urged Nigerians to ignore the PDP, describing the main opposition party as “an unrepentant corrupt” party.
