A Kaduna State High Court has postponed hearing in the bail application filed by former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, to the first week of June 2026.
The adjournment was granted on Tuesday by Justice Darius Khobo, who is presiding over the matter.
El-Rufai is currently facing trial on multiple counts relating to alleged financial crimes and abuse of office.

The charges were brought against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), which is prosecuting the case.
Details of the proceedings were not immediately disclosed, but the court’s decision means the former governor’s request for bail will be determined at the next adjourned date.
