Singer Cynthia Morgan has reacted to the renewed rift involving music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, and his elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, saying many entertainers silently battle emotional burdens before eventually reaching a breaking point.
In a post shared on Instagram on Friday, Morgan addressed claims that Peter’s emotions were “destructive,” explaining that her perspective was shaped by personal experience in the music industry.
“I read somewhere that Peter’s emotions are destructive. Now here is my take on this and I am speaking from experience,” she wrote.
According to the singer, artistes are often trained to place their careers ahead of every other aspect of their lives, forcing them to suppress emotions linked to relationships, loss, abuse and professional pressure.
“As an artiste, most of us are conditioned to always put our craft over anything. Love, grief, abuse, pressure etc.

So when you see an artiste that you think has become destructive, just know they’ve maxed out and can no longer pretend, and until they vent or go to therapy, they will never be normal,” she said.
Morgan further stated that entertainers make significant personal sacrifices to build the public personas admired by fans, adding that musicians from an earlier generation, particularly those associated with the P-Square era, operated under greater pressure because their brands were built around privacy and mystery.
“Artistes sacrifice so much to be the people you admire… These new artistes might have it easier because we are in an internet age and people are less judgmental, but the older ones, and especially if you come from the P-Square circle, some of our brands were built on mystery. You think you know us, but you don’t,” she wrote.
In the caption accompanying her post, Morgan also offered words of support to Peter, writing, “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted #peterpsquare. I wish you peace and salvation.”
Her comments come as Peter Okoye and Jude Okoye continue their public disagreement, with both brothers trading accusations over the management of P-Square’s affairs and unresolved family disputes.
