Dangote Petroleum Launches Hotline for Reporting Overpriced Fuel

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has launched a nationwide toll-free hotline (0800 123 5264) to allow Nigerians report Marketing Retail Stations (MRS) selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) above the official price of ₦739 per litre.

The hotline was announced on Monday, December 22, 2025, and is now fully operational.

The move follows the rollout of the regulated ₦739 per litre pump price, which took effect nationwide on Sunday, December 21, aimed at stabilising fuel costs and easing financial pressure on consumers.

Dangote Petroleum urged motorists and the public to report any station found selling PMS above the approved price.

The refinery assured that all complaints will be promptly investigated, with strict action taken against violators.

“We urge Nigerians to avoid paying inflated fuel prices and report any breaches through the hotline. Compliance ensures that the benefits of the new pricing reach everyone,” the refinery said.

The hotline covers more than 2,000 MRS stations nationwide, reinforcing transparency and consumer protection in fuel distribution.

Consumers encountering petrol sold above ₦739 per litre are advised to call 0800 123 5264 immediately.
