Daniel Regha, a well-known critic whose sharp eye spans music, culture, and beyond, has weighed in on Nigerian artists Asake, Burna Boy, and Wizkid’s recent collaborations with American rapper Gunna on his latest album, The Last Wun, released on August 2, 2025.
Regha gave Asake a 4.5/10, commending his verse from start to finish, especially praising the smooth switch-up and well-executed outro. “Asake did a good job,” he said.
On the other hand, Burna Boy’s performance on “WGFT” drew harsh criticism. Regha called Burna’s singing “absolute g@rbage,” lamenting that despite Burna’s usual clever wordplay, this time his lyrics came off as “super lazy.”

Regha also took aim at Wizkid’s “Forever Be Mine” feature, scoring him a 2/10. He noted that while Wizkid’s lyrics were better than some recent efforts, the easy rhymes and lack of artistic chemistry with Gunna made the collaboration feel less impactful. “Wizkid needs to be artistically creative,” Regha stated.
