Davido To Address Osun Election Security Concerns

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is set to address journalists and residents on Wednesday over security concerns, the preparedness of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and other issues surrounding the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.

According to an invitation released on Tuesday, the press conference will take place at 11 a.m. at Imole House in Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

Announcing the event on X, Davido wrote, “I will be having a press conference tomorrow at Imole House, Osogbo, to discuss security, INEC and transparency issues.”

The singer, who was recently appointed chairman of the Imole Youth Mobilisation Committee for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign, is expected to speak on matters relating to security, electoral transparency and other developments ahead of Saturday’s poll.

Campaign organisers described the event as an opportunity for Davido to address concerns surrounding the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.

Davido, a nephew of the governor, has played an increasingly visible role in the campaign by leading youth mobilisation efforts and participating in political activities across the state.
