In an unprecedented event, the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, is set to give out nine of his children in marriage on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Central Mosque in Abuja.
The joint ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m..
Five sons and four daughters of the minister; Ibrahim, Suraj, Safiya, Maryam, Aisha, Fahad, Muh’d, Nana Firdausi and Farida, will wed their respective partners on the same day, marking a landmark celebration for the Matawalle family.
Among the couples, former Zamfara State House of Assembly Speaker Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya will marry Nana Bello Matawalle; Ibrahim Sahabi Liman is set to wed Farida Bello Matawalle; Yazid Shehu Dan Fulani will marry Safiya Bello Matawalle; and Aisha Bello Matawalle is scheduled to marry Umar Ibrahim Danmaliki.
