The Delta State Police Command has arrested three female suspects during an intelligence-led raid on a suspected drug hideout in Warri metropolis, recovering a cache of illicit substances including codeine syrup, Canadian Loud, and nitrous oxide.
The operation was conducted on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at about 9:20 p.m. by operatives of the Area Command, Effurun, following actionable intelligence on suspected drug activities within Ogbomoro and Ugolo communities.
Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said the operation led officers to a hideout along River Road in Ogbomoro, where the suspects were arrested after a search warrant was executed.
Those taken into custody include 25-year-old Favor Isaac, alleged to be the leader of the group, alongside Favour Felix, 24, and Samson Precious, 19.
Recovered items include 21 bottles of CSC Codeine, two canisters of nitrous oxide also known as laughing gas, two packs of suspected psychoactive chewing gum branded “Highness Gum,” and about 640 grams of suspected Canadian Loud concealed in various containers.

Investigators also identified a fleeing suspect, Rukewe Tega Isaac, as the alleged mastermind and main supplier of the drug network.
He remains at large, with police intensifying efforts to apprehend him and dismantle the wider syndicate.
The Command said the operation forms part of ongoing, intelligence-driven efforts to curb drug trafficking and related crimes across Delta State.
Commissioner of Police, Yemi Oyeniyi, reiterated the Command’s resolve to sustain pressure on drug networks, warning that substance abuse continues to fuel violent crimes and other social vices, particularly among young people.
He also called on residents to support security agencies with credible and timely information to enhance ongoing operations across the state.
