DJAN Denies Claims Of Burna Boy Music Ban

The Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) has denied reports that it banned music by Burna Boy following a reported confrontation with DJ Tunez.

In a statement released on Thursday, April 9, 2026, DJAN described claims of a ban as false and misleading, emphasizing that the association has not restricted Burna Boy’s music from DJs’ playlists and has no intention to do so.

The group also condemned the unauthorized use of its logo in posts suggesting otherwise.

DJAN said it is monitoring developments surrounding the alleged incident but reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism and mutual respect within the Nigerian music industry.

The association noted that DJ Tunez, who was involved in the reported altercation, is not a registered member of DJAN.

The clarification aims to stop misinformation and maintain a cooperative environment between artists and DJs, ensuring that the music community remains focused on creative collaboration rather than unverified disputes.
