D’Tigress Fall Short Again As China Edge Nigeria 69-65

Nigeria’s D’Tigress suffered another narrow defeat to China, losing 69-65 in a closely contested exhibition game in Haikou.

The Nigerian women battled throughout the encounter and pushed their hosts all the way, but China held on to secure a four-point victory in another competitive World Cup warm-up fixture.

The result comes after D’Tigress also fell to China in their opening exhibition game, where the hosts recorded a 70-67 victory.

Despite the back-to-back defeats, the games are providing valuable preparation for Nigeria ahead of the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
