Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has arrived in Glasgow, United Kingdom, for the 2025 Edo State Global Investment Summit.
The summit, organised by the Edo State Government, is aimed at attracting foreign direct investment, fostering public-private partnerships, and showcasing the state’s economic reforms to international stakeholders.
This year’s edition, themed “Catalytic Partnerships: Global Funding & Local Impact,” brings together investors, development partners, and members of the diaspora community to explore Edo’s economic potential.

In a post on X, Governor Okpebholo said:
“I’ve arrived at the Edo State Global Investment Summit 2025 in Glasgow, U.K. The theme, ‘Catalytic Partnerships: Global Funding & Local Impact,’ resonates as I connect with Edo’s diaspora and global partners, presenting our story of reforms, progress, and investment opportunities. A New Edo is rising.”
According to the governor, the engagement offers an opportunity to deepen ties with the diaspora while positioning Edo as an attractive destination for investment.
