Eedris Abdulkareem Loses Facebook, Instagram Accounts After Trump Letter Track

Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem says his Facebook and Instagram accounts were suspended on November 30, 2025, shortly after he released his political track Open Letter to Donald Trump.

Abdulkareem told reporters on Sunday that he had been unable to access both Meta-owned platforms since the song went live.

He linked the suspension directly to the track, which criticises corruption, insecurity, and governance failures in Nigeria while framing its message as an appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump.

The song, released under his Lakreem Entertainment label, has drawn attention for its confrontational tone and for using Trump as a symbolic reference while addressing Nigeria’s political leadership.

Facebook just suspended my Facebook and Instagram account because of my new song. I can’t access it,” he said.

Independent checks on November 30 confirmed that both social-media pages remained inaccessible.

Meta has not issued a public explanation for the suspension or indicated when the accounts may be restored.

The development follows earlier regulatory               pushback against Abdulkareem’s music.

In April 2025, the National Broadcasting Commission banned his song Tell Your Papa, citing “objectionable lyrics,” a decision the rapper strongly criticised.
