EFCC Administration Chief Afe Retires At 60

CE Abimbola Oyekemi Kayode Afe, Head of Administration at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has retired from public service after attaining the mandatory retirement age of 60, drawing the curtain on a distinguished career in the anti-corruption agency.

Her retirement was formally marked on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the premises of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate, where staff, family members and well-wishers gathered to celebrate her years of dedicated service to the Commission and the nation.

Colleagues described Afe as a disciplined, diligent and highly professional administrator whose leadership strengthened institutional efficiency and operational coordination within the Directorate.

Speakers at the ceremony commended her unwavering commitment to duty, strong work ethic and mentorship of younger officers, noting that her influence helped sustain high administrative standards.
