Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Uyo Zonal Directorate, have arrested twelve suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation conducted around Stadium Road, Unity Road, and Ekpri Nsukara in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The anti-graft agency made this known in a statement shared on its Facebook page on Friday.
According to the statement, the suspects were arrested following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet crimes.

Items recovered from them are 20 mobile phones, and three laptops.
The EFCC also stated that the suspects will be charged to court at the conclusion of ongoing investigations.
