EFCC Storms Malami’s Abuja Mansion Amid Ongoing Probe

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) moved on Tuesday to take control of the Abuja residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

Reports indicate that the EFCC team, reportedly led by Folarin Dare, arrived in approximately five buses.

Clad in the agency’s signature red and black jackets and heavily armed, the operatives quickly barricaded the road leading to Malami’s home, effectively restricting access.

The property, situated at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in the Maitama district, could not be accessed by residents or visitors as the EFCC maintained a tight perimeter around the area.

Sources suggest that the action is linked to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misconduct involving the former minister.

Details of the probe and its next steps are expected to emerge in due course.
