The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has a new head. Commander of the EFCC, CE Anselem Ozioko, has resumed office and promised stronger anti-corruption actions in Kwara, Kogi, and Niger States.
He made this promise on Friday, the 31st of October, 2025, at a brief handover meeting held inside the Commission’s Conference Room, GRA, Ilorin.
Ozioko replaced Mr. Daniel Isei, who has been transferred to the Enugu Zonal Directorate as Zonal Director.
While speaking, he praised his predecessor for his work and said he would continue the gains already achieved by the Ilorin office.
“I appreciate the confidence reposed in me by the management of the Commission. “I look forward to working closely with all members of staff to achieve our collective goal of curbing economic and financial crimes in Kwara, Kogi, and Niger States. “Together, we shall take the Ilorin Zone to greater heights,” Ozioko said.
He pointed out that discipline, teamwork, and honesty will remain his key approach. He also assured residents that the EFCC team in Ilorin will keep pushing for transparency and accountability in both government and private sectors.
Before handing over, Mr. Isei thanked God and the EFCC Executive Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, for giving him the chance to serve in Ilorin. He described his time at the office as “fulfilling and enriching.”

Ozioko is a legal practitioner with more than 30 years of experience. He has attended several professional courses and has participated in international conferences in the United States, Paris, Botswana, and Ghana.
Before coming to Ilorin, he led the EFCC Makurdi Office and has worked in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Ilorin as Head of Legal and Prosecution.
