Ekiti Guber: Gov Oyebanji Sweeps Polling Unit With Wide Margin

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Saturday, June 20, 2026, secured a strong victory at his polling unit in the Ekiti State governorship election.

Oyebanji voted at Polling Unit 003 in his compound, RA 04, Ekiti West Local Government Area, where he comfortably won the ballot.

Final figures from the unit showed that the governor polled 326 votes out of 333 accredited voters, from a total of 668 registered voters.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) followed with two votes, while the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and African Action Congress (AAC) recorded one vote each.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) failed to secure any vote at the unit. Three votes were voided.

The exercise at the polling unit was peaceful and orderly. Oyebanji, after voting, described the process as smooth and noted a relatively strong turnout of about half of registered voters at the unit.

Collation of results is ongoing across other polling units in the state as the governorship election continues.
