The Oore of Otun Ekiti and Paramount Ruler of Mobaland, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, has congratulated former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, on his nomination as an ambassador by President Bola Tinubu.
Fani-Kayode, who holds the traditional title of Aare Ajagunla of Mobaland, Otun Ekiti, was among the 32 nominees forwarded to the Senate for confirmation.
In a statement on Sunday, Oba Adeagbo described the nomination as a worthy recognition. “We are delighted by this honour done to one of our sons, the Aare Ajagunla of Mobaland, Otun Ekiti, by the Federal Government. We are proud of you. Well done. More glory and more grace,” he said.
President Tinubu transmitted the list of nominees to the Senate on Saturday. According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the list includes Barrister Ogbonnaya Kalu (Abia), former presidential aide Reno Omokri (Delta), former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, and former Ekiti First Lady, Erelu Angela Adebayo.

Others nominated are former deputy governor of Lagos State, Otunba Femi Pedro; businessman and senator from Ondo State, Jimoh Ibrahim; and former Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The Presidency noted that the nominees are being considered for both career and non-career ambassadorial roles, and will receive their diplomatic postings after Senate confirmation.
