Emadeb Delivers First Oil from Ibom Field to Governor Eno

Emadeb Energy Group has marked a landmark moment for Nigeria’s indigenous oil sector by delivering first crude from its offshore Ibom Field to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno.

The presentation, held at the Government House in Uyo, symbolised the successful shift of the Ibom Field from development to production, following years of strategic planning, investment, and regulatory compliance.

Emadeb executives described the milestone as the first step in a broader development plan, with additional investments set to expand output in the coming years.

Governor Eno commended Emadeb’s achievement, describing it as a testament to the capability of Nigerian-owned firms to operate major upstream projects.

He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that create jobs, boost local content, and advance industrial and gas-related projects across Akwa Ibom.

Awarded under Nigeria’s marginal field programme, the Ibom Field is part of a wider effort to increase national oil production and deepen local participation in the petroleum industry.

The handover underscores growing collaboration between Akwa Ibom State and indigenous operators as the state seeks to maximise the value of its offshore hydrocarbon resources.
