The Premier League will stage seven matches on Boxing Day as part of its 2026/27 festive fixture schedule, with clubs set for a demanding run of games across the Christmas and New Year period.
The league released the fixtures for match rounds 17 to 20 on Thursday, covering matches from December 26 through January 7, 2027. The early announcement is intended to give supporters more than three months to organise their travel and matchday plans.
Aston Villa will open the Boxing Day programme at home against Leeds, while Everton will host Sunderland. Fulham will welcome Brighton, Ipswich will play Brentford and Tottenham will take on Bournemouth.
Liverpool will travel to Hull for the 17:30 kick-off, with Newcastle’s home clash against Manchester City scheduled for 20:00 to bring Boxing Day action to a close.
The festive programme will continue on December 27, when Coventry host Chelsea, Manchester United face Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace take on Arsenal.

More prominent fixtures are scheduled for December 29 and 30, including Everton’s meeting with Manchester City and Aston Villa’s clash with Liverpool.
Leeds will host Everton on New Year’s Day, while the first weekend of 2027 will feature another full round of fixtures. Bournemouth will face Aston Villa, while Chelsea will meet Newcastle.
Manchester City will then host Tottenham on January 3 before the festive schedule reaches its conclusion with a midweek round of matches.
Manchester United’s home fixture against Newcastle on January 7 will be the final game of the festive period.
The Premier League said clubs will be given a minimum of 60 hours between matches throughout the Christmas and New Year schedule. The arrangement follows efforts to reduce the strain of the congested festive period as clubs contend with an increasingly demanding European and international calendar.
The league is expected to announce further broadcast selections for November fixtures in the week beginning September 21, while December’s selections are scheduled to be released in the week beginning October 19.
